Center Stage Sexual Aid: Svakom’s Emma

April 04, 2017
The Posting Maven

Every other week, The CSPH takes a look at a sexual aid that can be very helpful for some people and should be highlighted. This week we take a look at the Emma by Svakom.

How Does it Work?

The Emma and the rabbit attachment it comes with are made of body safe silicone, with a stainless steel cap at the bottom of the Emma. This toy is about 8.5 inches long, with the rabbit adding about 3.25 inches, however only the rabbit ears are comfortably insertable. The weight of the toy is about 210 grams. Emma comes with a storage bag and a USB charging cable. One full charge takes two hours and can last 48 hours.

The Emma has five modes with five speeds each and a heating function that gradually increases to 100℉. There are four buttons on the Emma; up and down arrows, an S, and a thermometer. The arrows control the speed and when clicked twice in a row will change the mode to the next or last pattern. The S button can be held for two seconds to turn the toy on and off or pressed to enter an “intelligent mode” which cycles through the settings. Finally, the thermometer button can be used to turn on and off the heating function.

Important Things to Note:

The Emma is a versatile and flexible external vibrator and can become an internal vibrator with the addition of the rabbit ears. It can be used to tease yourself and/or a partner regardless of your genitals. However, the flexibility is more in its uses and not its design, too much pressure on the thin neck can snap the internal structure. Interestingly this does not stop the toy from working, but it does create a much louder noise and make the toy less stiff.

The buttons are a bit easy to accidentally press while using and turning the toy off takes a few seconds so it’s not the easiest to hide if someone walks in. Also, while the travel case does fit everything that comes with the toy, it takes a bit of struggling.

Keeping it Clean:

Svakom says the toy is 100% waterproof, however the charger input is exposed at the bottom of the toy so take caution. As with most silicone toys; water-based lubricants are the best choice to use and any silicone or hybrid lubricants should be spot-tested on an area that is not going to be visible or come into contact with genitals. Cleaning after use can be done with warm water and soap.

Happy Playing!
