Each week, The CSPH takes a look at a sexual aid that can be so helpful for some people that it needs to be highlighted. This week’s sexual aid is the Violet by Vibratex!
How does it work:
Upon first impression, one notices the toy’s appearance: it’s sleek, smooth shape and beautiful forget-me-not color prove to be quite inviting for both clitoral stimulation and vaginal penetration. However, getting the fun started might be a bit difficult since one must decipher the functions of each one of the six buttons at the base of the toy. For reference, there are two columns of buttons: the left one controls the winged tickler, while the right one controls the internal segment. Both columns have an “off” button at the bottom, an “on/up” in the middle, and either an F1 or F2 button at the top. The F1 button (on the left) controls five different vibration patterns of the tickler, and the “on/up” button (on the left) switches between four different speeds. Meanwhile, the F2 button (on the right) controls the five types of side-to-side movement that the shaft can create, and the “on/up” button (on the right) also controls four different speeds. With such variety, feel free to start as slow or as quick as you would like!
Despite the added bonus of having a moving internal segment, don’t expect to feel too much vibration. Even with three different types of movements and four different speeds, each one is rather slow, and, therefore, any sensation is easily overpowered by clitoral stimulation. However, the strongest vibration from the tickler can pack quite a punch, yet it’s quite impressive that the noise level remains reasonably low. Nevertheless, an advanced toy user might still find the strongest vibration to be absorbed too much by the silicone, so be aware.
Other Things to Note:
Four AAA batteries are needed to get started, but are not included with the product, so be sure to plan ahead. Unscrewing the bottom proves to be an easy feat, as well as plopping your four batteries into the removable cartridge: two go on one side and two go on the other. Remove the batteries immediately after each use to ensure longer battery life.
As with all silicone toys, lube should be used; just make sure to use water-based lubes since silicone-based lubes can cause buildup on this silicone toy. Also, this toy is waterproof so indulge yourself in the tub, shower, or private swimming pool!
Keeping It Clean:
You are welcome to use a toy cleaner to clean your toy; however, good old soap (mild) and warm water will do just fine. Always keep the battery case and controls dry. Store it in a cool, dry place to keep it ready for next time.
Ultimately, this toy’s design caters well to the female body and users would be able to thoroughly enjoy the different varieties of fun that this toy offers. With the varying levels of vibrations and speeds, this toy would be a fantastic start for beginners because one can move at a pace that feels comfortable and pleasurable. Relax. Let loose and don’t be afraid to indulge yourself!
